Birth Doula Services

A doula is a nonmedical birth professional who provides continuous support for a woman in labor and birth.

The word ‘Doula’ comes from Greek origin and literally means '“female helper or servant.” That’s what I’m here for.

You can expect to be supported physically, mentally, emotionally, and educationally. Read more here and here for more information and evidence about doulas.

A Cochrane review found the following in one of their studies:

  • 39% decrease in the chance of having a C-section

  • 15% increase in the chance of having a spontaneous vaginal delivery (non-induced)

  • 10% decrease in the need for any medication for pain relief

  • 41-minute average reduction in the length of labor

  • 38% decrease in low 5 minute APGAR score

  • 31% increase in satisfaction with the overall birth experience

  • 2-3 Prenatal Educational Visits

  • Assistance Writing a Birth Plan

  • Availability to text or call throughout pregnancy

  • On-Call 24/7 at 38 Weeks until 42 Weeks

  • Continuous Labor & Birth Support

  • Up to 2 hours of Immediate Postpartum Support

  • 1-2 Postpartum Visits

  • Assistance Processing Birth Experience

I believe women have the power and capability to do this very natural and primal thing called birth. But, that doesn’t mean that it’s not hard or overwhelming or even a bit scary. My goal is to equip you with knowledge to make birth feel prepared for. I want you to be confident and able to trust what your instincts are saying. And let’s not forget, I’ll be right by your side during your labor and birth.
